Special Yoga for Special Children Foundation
Designed to educate and support anyone caring for children with additional needs. Learn about a variety of conditions and the remedial techniques and adaptations for each. We teach you how and when practices can be adapted for different situations and populations. Help every child thrive, whatever their diagnosis.

Special Yoga & Mindfulness for Autism & ADHD
Teaching you how to support the behaviours and challenges of these diverse populations however a diagnosis presents. The techniques you'll learn are invaluable resources when caring for those with ADHD or Autism at home, in healthcare settings and in mainstream and specialist schools. On graduating, you'll have a solid understanding of the needs and how to meet them across the spectrum of conditions.

Special Yoga for Adults - Disabilities and Autism
Share the Special Yoga methodology with less-able groups of adults. The skills learned can be used in settings supporting dementia, the elderly, and vulnerable adults. Graduation means you'll be able to nurture adults' physical, mental and emotional well-being, whether with reduced mobility or impaired cognitive function.

Special Yoga for Cerebral Palsy & PMLD
n extension to our Special Yoga for Special Children course. Learn how to guide your children to find emotional peace and ease in their bodies. We'll teach you how to create communication pathways to manage fear and anxiety whilst reducing physical pain. The training explores the different types of diagnosis, from quadriplegic CP to hemiplegia and the varying challenges that each one brings, including seizures, digestive challenges, and sleep.

A: Live attendance is highly encouraged to maximise your learning experience and engagement. If circumstances prevent you from joining a live session, rest assured that recordings will be made available for you to catch up.

A: No. The course is open to complete beginners as well as experienced yoga teachers. You just need a desire to support children and a willingness to explore the practices yourself.

A: You will be able to share Special Yoga practices with individual children and groups.
You will gain the confidence to adapt breathwork, posture and mindfulness for a wide range of additional needs. This course is also the foundation for progressing to advanced and senior Special Yoga trainings.
Once you have graduated, you will be eligible for insurance, and your employer will need you to arrange this before you can work with children or adults.

A: Yes. While the course focuses on supporting children with autism & ADHD, the practices benefit all children.
Special Yoga promotes emotional regulation, concentration and resilience, whether a child has a diagnosis.

Yes. You’ll receive a certificate of completion after:
Attending the webinars study groups
Completing the online learning
Submitting your assignments, including a short written reflection and a short video of you using the practices.

You can use Special Yoga in daily life, whether at home, in schools, therapy rooms, care settings, or community spaces. The practices adapt easily to different environments and can be done on the floor or in chairs.
Before sharing Special Yoga, you’ll need to have appropriate insurance in place. We’ve worked with BGi.uk over the years, who offer cover for our trained practitioners.

Hi, I’m Jyoti 👋
I’m the founder of Special Yoga and an Advanced Trainer.
In 2004, I founded the Special Yoga Centre. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of training thousands of teachers, therapists and parents around the world. Today, it brings me so much joy to see our live sessions led by a deeply experienced team of teacher trainers who hold this work with compassion, connection and grounded, real world understanding.
My hope is that this training becomes a powerful part of your journey, not only in how you support children with autism and ADHD, but in how you care for and transform yourself too.
